Blizzard Official Preview of Legion Timewalking in Patch 9.1.5

Last updated November 14, 2021 | Follow us on Pinterest

And with this latest patch, we’re introducing a new way to experience time: Timewalking. With the release of Legion, your adventures in Azeroth will now include events that span multiple expansions and timelines! You can start playing through these special challenges at any time during Battle for Azeroth.

Legion Timewalking is here! Prepare your wits for a fantastically twisted chrono-spatial dilemma! During this week’s Bonus Event, players will be able to travel into six of Legion’s dungeons to earn new prizes. Your character and equipment will be scaled down to a level suitable for the challenge, but bosses will drop treasure that is appropriate for your normal level. Timewalking dungeons have a chance to drop items that normally only drop on Heroic difficulty, and you’ll gain reputation with a faction interested in the dungeon. You may also perform Timeworn Keystone dungeons for strong treasure, as well as take on the Tower of the Mage’s challenges, which are only accessible during the event.

While the Event is in Progress

Throughout the week, keep an eye out for the following: For all reputations linked with the relevant expansion, you will get a 50% boost to reputations gained from missions and monster kills while Timewalking is active. Simply launch the Group Finder (default hotkey: I), then in the Type dropdown menu, choose Dungeon Finder and Timewalking. Selecting Find Group will place you in a group with other players and send you to one of the Heroic dungeons listed below: Hold of the Black Rook Black Rook Hold, carved out of Val’sharah’s highest mountain by ancient elf masons, served as a barrier against the Burning Legion during the War of the Ancients. Lord Kur’talos Ravencrest, Illidan’s former mentor, has his ancestral home in the almost impenetrable stronghold. However, since the Legion’s most recent assault, the Hold has emitted a peculiar black energy, and restless dead have plagued the surrounding regions. The Stars’ Court Even while Legion soldiers patrol the streets, casting a shadow over Suramar’s magnificent metropolis, the Nightborne nobility’s socialites adhere to tradition and regularity. The scream of revelers resonates through the cold air on this clear night, as the Noble District’s biggest house opens its doors for a spectacular gala. Grand Magistrix Elisande herself may make an appearance, according to rumors, in an attempt to comfort some of her closest friends despite recent upheaval. The Thicket of Darkheart The Nightmare has infiltrated every inch of the once-lush woodland under the shadow of Shaladrassil. Corruption and lunacy now rule where the oldest and best druids formerly cared to the woods, meditating under the big world tree. The Nightmare Lord Xavius searches deep inside the dense thicket to shatter the will of his greatest treasure. Azshara’s Eye An ancient source of strength lurks under the waters off the coast of Azsuna, among the outlying shoals. Queen Azshara’s authority once stretched throughout these regions, and the naga seeking the Tidestone of Golganneth still follow her orders. Azshara’s disciples prepare to call an embodiment of her Wrath to lay waste to the country as clouds sweep in and the air crackles with the electricity of an impending storm. The Lair of Neltharion This cavern was formerly home to Earth Warder Neltharion, afterwards known as Deathwing. The drogbar who formerly worshipped the mighty dragon have established their capital inside this old cave after his demise. Dargrul, the drogbar’s leader, has gathered a huge army inside these depths. If left unchecked, this army, bolstered by the Hammer of Khaz’goroth, will burst from the mountainside, destroying Highmountain and endangering the security of all Azeroth. The Wardens’ Vault This hidden Warden complex was cut into the Azsuna hillside and sealed with magical wards, both to keep outsiders out and to prevent the terrors imprisoned within from escaping. Many of the Wardens’ most deadly enemies were formerly locked up in the Vault, but after Cordana’s treachery and the Legion’s assault, those monsters are now free to wander the halls. Check out the Adventure Guide (Shift-J), then choose the Dungeons tab, then Legion from the drop-down menu to discover more about each dungeon’s bosses, hints, and possible treasure.

Keystones that have seen better days

If you’re searching for a more difficult experience, speak with Ta’hsup in Oribos to acquire a Timeworn Keystone. Timeworn Keystones may then be utilized in one of the six Legion dungeons, just like any other Mythic Keystone, during the event. At level 10, and higher, Timeworn Keystones feature a special affix linked to Legion: Infernal. Infernal Beacons may be spotted around certain bosses while this affix is active. A Legion invasion is triggered by activating a Beacon or fighting a nearby boss. Dungeons in the Timeworn Keystone will be scaled to your level, and the chest at the conclusion of the run will include gear from that dungeon with an item level suitable for the Timeworn Keystone’s difficulty. This gear, like any other max-level gear obtained from Mythic Keystone dungeons, may be upgraded with Valor Points. Although Legion Timeworn Keystone goods cannot show as loot choices when claiming weekly Great Vault rewards, completing dungeons in this way will contribute to your Great Vault progress.

Mage Tower

The terrible evils that plagued the Broken Isles when the Legion arrived have returned. Conquer the tower’s challenges to earn amazing prizes, accomplishments, and, of course, bragging rights. Read about the return of the Mage Tower.

Reward for Timewalking in Legion

In Dalaran, you may also visit the Timewalking merchant Aridormi (above the Broken Isles). She’ll be ready to accept your hard-won Timewarped Badges in return for some enticing prizes:

  • A Mount—Val’sharah Hippogryph’s Favor
  • The Vigilance of the Nightborne Guard is a toy.
  • Aggramar’s Replica Aegis has a cosmetic shield look.
  • Ravencrest’s Battleplate is a Transmog Ensemble.
  • Argussian Reach, Army of the Light, Armies of Legionfall, Court of Farondis, Dreamweavers, Highmountain Tribe, The Nightfallen, The Wardens, and Valarjar have all received reputation tokens.

Plus a lot more! During the event, merchants will have more Legion equipment available.

Regarding Bonus Events

Bonus Events are held on a weekly basis, starting on Tuesdays, and consist of a variety of various activities. Each Boost Event provides a once-per-event quest with a prize for completing a relevant objective, as well as a passive bonus to a certain gaming activity. Keep an eye on the in-game calendar to stay on top of upcoming events. The Adventure Guide also includes a direct link to current Bonus Events, enabling you to quickly accept any missions connected with that week’s Bonus Event.
