Diablo fans are not happy with Blizzard’s new Diablo game, but they can still get their fix on the PC. The first closed beta test for Diablo Immortal is set to start on October 28th.

Prepare yourself, adventurers. Diablo Immortal has entered Beta testing, putting us one step closer to a global release. A variety of interesting new features and improvements will be available to a select group of participants. Selected participants from Canada and Australia will return to Sanctuary on October 28.
Closed Beta access will also be extended to users in South Korea, Japan, and China at a later date. The Necromancer class, more hard PvE encounters, epic struggles to become the Immortal, controller support, and more are all coming soon!

Our team released a Diablo Immortal Development Update in August, emphasizing major areas of emphasis that we planned to revisit and level up after the Closed Alpha test. As we moved on the path to Beta, we identified several chances to improve on important gameplay features after delving into input from many sources such as Reddit, social media, in-game surveys, and even working with players in our community. NEW CLASS
Haunt your enemies with the spirits of the dead, and even the demons of the Burning Hells will be terrified.
To defend the living, reanimate the dead. Curse the accursed with nefarious abilities. Infect the adversary with plague. Those who underestimate your strength are unaware of their catastrophic error. They are alienated and rejected by society. Only your orders reverberate indefinitely.
Bring the dead back to life. Raising the stakes is a good idea. The Necromancer has arrived on the scene (one of six classes that will be available at worldwide launch).
UPDATE ON THE STRIFE CYCLE
The quest for the Eternal Crown is both difficult and exciting. To create a Dark House, Shadow players must band together under a single flag, combat other Shadows in rival Dark Houses in the Rite of Exile, and eventually qualify as the top Dark House to face the Immortals. The Shadows who triumph in the Rite of Exile will advance to a new endgame PvP battle. In a last-ditch effort, the Immortal will summon ancient abilities to maintain their position as raid boss. The Immortal Challenge puts 30 players (Shadows) against one (Immortal), marking a turning point in the broader Cycle of Strife. The consequences will be felt across the realm.
UPDATES ON PVP
Other PvP systems that have undergone iteration will make their premiere in addition to the exciting feature coming to the Cycle of Strife.
Those that want to be the top PvPers in the game will have the opportunity to make their claim. The Battleground Ladder is on its way, allowing players to compare their abilities to those of others in their realm.
There’s no better time to join the fight than now, as we’ve tweaked class balance, time to kill, and other important aspects of Diablo Immortal’s Battleground PvP.
SET ITEMS
A new end-game gear system has been added in addition to the preceding adjustments. Set Items will be available for secondary equip slots in Closed Beta. A player will get an extra bonus if they wear a sufficient quantity of items from the same Set.
To further explain this new concept, each “Set” corresponds to the same six slots: Hands, Feet, Rings (2), Neck, and Waist. Each Set comes with two different bonuses: one for wearing three items and another for wearing six. In the end, you may either wear the whole Set for the two bonuses, or combine three pieces from two distinct sets for two different three-piece bonuses.
Players may mix and combine sets based on main attacks, survival/health, rapid mobility, damage over time, summoning pets, or crowd-controlling adversaries.
DROPS OF ENHANCED ITEM
Active players that advance in Paragon level or seek challenges by adventuring in higher-difficulty content will be rewarded more. Both strategies increase the likelihood of the game dropping more powerful items. More powerful equipment will allow players to take against Hell’s minions on a more harder level, with bigger rewards.
UPDATE ON THE HELLIQUARY
Rally your pals and summon your bravery. The Helliquary is about to become much crazier. The Helliquary monsters are now intended for eight-player raids. This is one of many adjustments to PvE that we’re implementing to make it more tough and rewarding for players that fulfill these goals on a weekly basis.
UPDATES FOR PVE
We’re making adjustments to the numerous PvE activities in addition to the Helliquary. We want to give players the option of choosing between undertaking Bounties, Elder Rifts, or Dungeons to advance their character. You get to select the activities you want to do, and regardless of what you do, you’ll gain Battle Pass advancement. Bounty awards have been transferred to the Battle Pass, giving players the freedom to earn them in whatever manner they see fit.
The pursuit of riches and obtaining new gear is a vital part in the fun formula in our games, and dungeon crawling is a staple of the Diablo experience. Challenge Rifts, particularly higher Challenge Rifts, have become an important aspect of your gear advancement. Players who want the best equip should look for new upgrade materials in Challenge Rifts that they can’t get anywhere else.
SUPPORT FOR CONTROLLER
We’ve heard you loud and clear, and our long-term objective for Diablo Immortal is to include complete controller compatibility. We aren’t quite there yet, and there is still work to be done. The Closed Beta will offer gamers a sneak peek at this feature. This early peek at controller compatibility will enable players to traverse the game and fight creatures with a controller. There are a few important drawbacks to this early controller support:
- Inventory, skills, Codex, Paragon, and vendor UI menus do not have controller functionality in the Closed Beta. To browse UI displays, you’ll still need to utilize the touchscreen.
- Some controllers aren’t supported at all. During Closed Beta, we will be checking device compatibility.
- You could run into some technical issues, such as the controller disconnecting.

OTHER MODIFICATIONS
Aside from these exciting PvP and PvE upgrades, the Codex, Paragon, and XP systems are being fine-tuned and polished behind the scenes. Many of these improvements and changes are targeted at making the leveling and advancement process go more smoothly. The Codex Power Progression UI, for example, has been enhanced to provide users a better route through lessons and objectives.
IN-GAME PURCHASES ARE AVAILABLE AS AN OPTION.
For the first time, in-game purchases will be available on Android smartphones during the Closed Beta. As we go ahead, this is a significant development milestone. We want all Diablo Immortal players to be satisfied with their gaming investment, and that any purchases they make provide the value they anticipate. Validating the game’s appeal in this manner is critical to guaranteeing a smooth launch and ensuring that we can continue to support it for years to come. PLEASE NOTE: During the Closed Beta, all purchases will be credited to the account that will be used as in-game balance when the game launches. When the Closed Beta is over, all in-game progress will be erased. For example, if you pay $5.00 during the Closed Beta, you’ll get a $5.00 in-game credit when you download Diablo Immortal at launch and join your Battle.net account. You will then be able to use this in-game credit to pay for real-world items.
