Optimal Balance Sepulcher of the First Ones Druid Double Legendaries
The popular 9.1 Covenant of Venthyr for Balance Druid is returned, although with nerfs in 9.2, it’s less powerful. Venthyr in Sepulcher shines in confrontations when the powerful 3-minute cooldown is appreciated and you can get a lot of use out of it. Venthyr was also pretty good before acquiring two legendaries, and he’ll likely see some play at the start of the patch. Because the nerf to Sinful Hysteria compels you to dump sooner and the 4-set Umbral Infusion enables you to dump more Astral Power at the end of your Ravenous Frenzy window, you need to be much more meticulous about your dump at the conclusion of your Ravenous Frenzy window.
The second legendary of choice is Primordial Arcanic Pulsar, which works well with our two-piece set. You can create so much astral power with the Umbral Embrace 2-set that you can proc pulsar and cycle eclipse states at an absurdly quick pace. The 4-set Umbral Infusion gives you rapid gains in the same way as you would if you used these skills at full cost, which is a very unique interplay.
With all of the changes, Night Fae might be back on the menu. Although the covenant’s ceiling is lower than Venthyr’s, it may be employed in raids if a few requirements are satisfied. For starters, you’ll need the battle to not favor Venthyr excessively and to be on 3-minute intervals when it’s time to calm down (like sanctum was). The second major issue is that of additions and AOE. Because Night Fae is almost entirely a single-target covenant, low-priority covenant monsters may quickly stack up when you need to convoke.
The advantages come from the fact that you may activate a Primordial Arcanic Pulsar whenever you push Convoke the Spirits, which is a fantastic interaction. In raid, Night Fae may be rather good, but deciding whether to fight as Venthyr or Fae requires a lot more research.
Druid Double Legendaries for Mythic+ with the Best Balance
Due to the absence of genuine AOE from other alternatives, Venthyr is a lot more adaptable as a whole than other possibilities. Venthyr in the dungeons, on the other hand, will be the same old Venthyr. This means Venthyr may still be fairly powerful, but it still has the same knowledge of cooldown timings and overall player use difficulties as in 9.1. Venthyr may be one of the most powerful abilities in the game for Balance Druid if everything falls into place, but if you use it improperly, you’ll take a lot of damage.
It’s still fairly excellent; Primordial Arcanic Pulsar has a lot of power with the 2 and 4 sets, and Venthyr is never a bad choice.

With the advent of two legendaries in 9.2, it’s time to consider legendary combos. Before we go any further, I’d want to bring out a major flaw in the way twin legendaries work: you’ll be able to equip both a regular and a covenant legendary. The problem is that not all covenant legendaries are created equal; they range from Celestial Spirits, which is universally useful in all situations and is a significant increase, to Unbridled Swarm, which is almost completely irrelevant on a significant chunk of content. Blizzard should seriously consider doing another tuning pass on the covenant legendaries.
For Sepulcher of the First Ones, the best Feral Druid Double Legendaries
Once you’ve earned your tier, this will most likely be your most frequent legendary combo; for most combat durations, this will be the legendary with the highest throughput. It has good synergy with the 2 and 4pc from the tier set, with the 2pc causing extra damage from the Frenzyband’s damage effect, and the 4pc causing more damage owing to frenzyband’s CDR. There are no spectacular synergies or interactions, but it is still the best choice, with a difference of 1% to 5% between it and the next best alternative.
Prior to tier, this will almost certainly be your best choice for single target, and it may even be the best option after tier for certain battle durations. There are no interactions between these two legendaries; it’s just a matter of combining the two legendaries with the highest throughput. This is the greatest combination by around 1% on specific battle durations.
For Mythic+, the best Feral Druid Double Legendaries
Once you’ve acquired your tier, this will most likely be a pretty popular legendary combo. It has good synergy with the 2 and 4pc from the tier set, with the 2pc causing extra damage from the Frenzyband’s damage effect, and the 4pc causing more damage owing to frenzyband’s CDR. If used in M+, the goal will most likely be to maximize aoe damage from the 4pc; it’s difficult to say how valuable that will be in the live game because the feral set is currently HORRENDOUSLY bugged (snapshotting mastery, tripple dipping with Tiger’s Fury), but it’s likely this will be a good option.
This may be a better alternative for higher keys, especially if you’ve reached tier. When paired with Primal Wrath and the Tier set, Apex Predator’s Craving provides a substantial amount of funnel. In high-key situations, a funnel may be highly useful, enabling you to take down difficult creatures in a large draw while keeping your party alive, a niche that is presently dominated by rogues. Due to the CDR from the Apex Predator’s Craving procs and the 4pc boost, this also avoids surrendering too much AOE potential once you reach Tier.
With the 4pc delivering a rather large damage over time effect (if, as said, hilariously flawed), the Necrolord legendary combo may amp up the 4pc damage even more. This legendary combination has some drawbacks if you’re not chain pulling quickly enough, since swarm stacks may be dropped, but if you can keep the stacks up, it might be the greatest overall throughput legendary combination.

Sepulcher of the First Ones’ Best Guardian Druid Double Legendaries
Guardian has a number of powerful legendary combos that work well together depending on your final objective. As a consequence, depending on the scenario, a variety of exciting and distinctive play styles emerge. While I haven’t included The Natural Order’s Will in any of the combinations below, it is still a very powerful defensive choice that works well with any covenant if the situation calls for it.
On the PTR, the Kyrian covenant legendary, Kindred Affinity, received a huge nerf.
The Druid’s Kindred Affinity stat boost has been decreased to 6% (from 8%), while their partner’s stat benefit has been reduced to 3%. (was 8 percent ).
This is a huge move that changes our covenant option back to Night Fae for progression. However, after you have two legendaries equipped, Kyrian will still be a good choice, but not as powerful as previously.
Even with the change, the Venthyr covenant legendary is still quite powerful and will continue to be a solid pick in AoE-heavy battles.
The mythology of the Night Fae Covenant is intriguing. It enables you to Convoke the Spirits twice as frequently, making it easier to align with difficult areas of the battle. It also considerably improves the uptime of Niya’s Grove Invigoration, which is a big health boost. This is especially useful in encounters where you’d utilize your convoke to heal the raid or when Starfall from Moonkin Form convokes is very powerful.
By far the weakest covenant legendary, Necrolord, will need a major revamp to be of any use.
This is the Catweaving and Feral Affinity combo. Finally bringing together two of the strongest catweaving legendaries, this combination will allow us to spike DPS more often and burst high-priority kill targets with ease. A construct that is primarily focused on a particular target.
This is a balanced bear-focused construct that is usually utilized in conjunction with Balance Affinity. Incarnation: Grants you the advantages of a shorter cooldown. In addition to incredibly large burst windows, Guardian of Ursoc often rolls leech and CC immunity from the tier set bonus.
Oath of the Elder Druid is a lesser-known legendary, but with the advent of double legendaries, Convoke the Spirits aligns precisely every 1 minute, which might be highly valuable for raid engagements if your party need additional healing cooldowns.
This may be a nice mix that tries to achieve as much Barkskin uptime as possible while also complementing our tier set. If you can line the Barkskin procs with important parts in the battle, it may be quite useful in some situations.
This is a bear-centric combination, which means it’s best employed in circumstances when cat/owlweaving is too risky. Legacy of the Sleeper is a nice legendary for 9.2 that works well with our new tier set.
This will only be utilized in encounters with a single target. Draught of Deep Focus was already our finest single target legendary, and thanks to the stat amplification, the covenant legendary makes it much better.
For Mythic+, the best Guardian Druid Double Legendaries
Ursoc’s Fury Remembered will provide a continual stream of absorbs to keep you healthy on AoE heavy engagements and Mythic+.
A well-rounded, high-defense centered build with a solid overall combination, lower cooldown on Convoke the Spirits, and absorbs from Ursoc’s Fury Remembered.
Both of these legendaries saw a lot of action in 9.1.5, and they may now be combined to create a potent AoE combo.
This is a greater damage AoE combination, with 25% more damage during Incarnation: Guardian of Ursoc on top of the already big increase from the covenant legendary, allowing for a massive DPS spike every 3 minutes. The disadvantage is that the Incarnation: Guardian of Ursoc’s 30 second decreased cooldown causes it to desync from Ravenous Frenzy, which means you’ll have to wait 30 seconds each time to keep them together.

For Sepulcher of the First Ones, the best Restoration Druid Double Legendaries
If you’ve been playing Restoration Druid throughout the whole of Shadowlands, you’re definitely well-versed on our legendary progression. Our double legendary selection for Sepulcher of the First Ones seems like a culmination of the past two raids, where we’ll combine the best of what we’ve done previously. With no nerfs to either legendary in 9.2, it’s virtually a foregone conclusion that we’d wind up with this raiding lineup. 1+1=2, which seems correct, and our new tier set benefits help to tie things together as well.
We mostly used Vision of Unending Growth for Castle Nathria because of its capacity to build a wider blanket of Rejuvenations. While it wasn’t very spectacular or game-changing, it did give substantial healing on its own, as well as help for Mastery: Harmony and Abundance. We could just send out extra Rejuvenations to ramp up for a huge damage event to scale up the additional Rejuvenations. We’d use our burst cooldowns (Convoke the Spirits, Flourish, and Tranquility) to perform the rest of the hard work while we let this basic healing take care of us. Vision of Unending Growth was the go-to choice as long as the healing wasn’t limited to a few targets.
The introduction of covenant-specific legendaries got off to a bumpy start, but we ultimately settled on the present form of Celestial Spirits, which has taken top honors in Sanctum of Domination for us. It reduces the time it takes to Convoke the Spirits from two minutes to one minute, providing us more access to a burst healing skill. While the decreased channel length reduces the amount of spell casts, we still get full stacks and duration of our soulbind bonuses Grove Invigoration and Field of Blossoms, as well as a little lower than 1-in-2 chance of casting a Flourish. We can better cover more harmful occurrences if we have greater access to burst healing.
With both of these fantastic legendaries, we’ll be able to have our cake and eat it too once we unlock double legendaries in 9.2. We receive all of the advantages of both, with the added benefit of our 2-pc set bonus, which grants us an additional HoT Renewing Bloom through our Rejuvenation healing. Both legendaries grant extra Rejuvenations, which provide a little boost but aren’t too powerful. Unfortunately, the extra Swiftmends from Convoke the Spirits do not flow into our 4-pc, so we won’t be able to win them all; nevertheless, owing to both legendaries, we should have more targets to Swiftmend without wasting more important HoTs.
Restoration Druids should have a solid showing in Sepulcher of the First Ones, thanks to flat healing and damage boosts, a fantastic double legendary combo, and a raid that plays to a lot of our healing skills.
For Mythic+, the best Restoration Druid Double Legendaries
With the release of 9.1.5 and the ability to freely switch covenants, we’ve seen a dramatic shift in our Mythic+ choices, with the opportunity to ditch the all-purpose Night Fae covenant in favor of the more specific and specialized Kyrian and Necrolord covenants. Due to his ability to deliver extra damage to a DPS through Kindred Affinity, Kyrian has had a lot of success in the current meta.
Dedicated to healing
It’s difficult to fight Necrolord and Adaptive Swarm when your emphasis is on mending a tiny fraction of people. The increased HoT healing, along with Adaptive Swarm’s own healing, lets us to play a Germination-like playstyle while keeping maintaining Flourish’s explosive potential. Our Adaptive Swarms divide often enough in Unbridled Swarm that with some judicious overlapping, we may have enough to heal our whole party or inflict damage to a big group of opponents, all while earning the additional HoT/DoT benefit. When you combine this with Verdant Infusion’s single target burst and Cenarion Ward’s single target burst, your tank will be prepared for practically any eventuality. Many people believe that such a large quantity of healing is unneeded, and they will choose to play in a more damage-oriented way.
Focused on Damage
Things have been looking brighter for us in Mythic+, thanks to a relatively flat 10% increase in our damage. However, with the new nerfs to Kindred Affinity, enthusiasm has subsided a little, since Kyrian and Necrolord’s damage is now closer than ever.
All of the same perks apply to Necrolord, but he can also do a lot of damage while increasing our DoT damage across the board. While combined with the legendary Draught of Deep Focus’s powerful single-target damage, we may do a substantial amount of damage, particularly when attempting to push monsters as swiftly as possible.
While Kyrian’s stats are still acceptable, your mileage may vary if you aren’t using it to its maximum potential. It’ll need greater preparation on both the macro and micro levels, both in terms of how your party plans to tackle the dungeon and with your bonded companion. Expect Kyrian to continue to shine at the absolute top of the game, while more casual gamers will most likely choose Necrolord.
Is each of these options sufficient to dethrone the Holy Paladin Mythic+ meta? Although it’s improbable, don’t dismiss Restoration Druid in Mythic+.
The “9.1 feral druid covenant” is a new legendary that was added in patch 9.1 for the Druid class. It provides some great bonuses for balance, feral, and guardian Druids, as well as restoration Druids.
