Season of Mastery Patch 1.14.3.42770 PTR Datamined New Spells & Items

Last updated March 20, 2022 | Follow us on Pinterest

There’s a new batch of datamined data from the first PTR patch for season 14. The most interesting news is that Blizzard plans to introduce two new spells in upcoming patches, and possibly more in future seasons. Check it out below!

Season-of-Mastery-Patch-114342770-PTR-Datamined-New-Spells

The new Classic Season of Mastery patch is currently available for testing on the Classic PTR, where Aggrend has given some development notes. Players may now test the Ahn’Qiraj Temple is a temple in Ahn’Qiraj., which contains a revamped Skeram, the Prophet encounter as well as a difficulty picker for the remaining raid.

Ahn’Qiraj Temple is a temple in Ahn’Qiraj.

The fifth and final phase of Season of Mastery will include Ahn’Qiraj and the War Effort. There will be a War Effort, according to Aggrend, but it will be intensified during Season of Mastery. To access the gates of Ahn’Qiraj, players will very certainly need to complete the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest line. The Skeram, the Prophet encounter is currently the only combat that has received major modifications.

Skeram, the Prophet

The biggest difference with Skeram, the Prophet is when the boss splits into multiple clones, a giant C’Thun eye will spawn in the sky and target a random player in the raid with a beam, applying Visions of Madness. This player will be capable of seeing which of the clones are real and which ones are fake.

If the raid kills the incorrect clone, the entire raid will die. So, it is imperative that when this effect goes off, the person targeted with the beam should communicate with the raid and instruct them to attack the correct clone. Once Skeram, the Prophet is killed, the wall behind him will open up, allowing players to interact with a peculiar new object…

Options for Raid Difficulty

The Coffin after Skeram, the Prophet for choosing Raid Difficulty

In the following room after defeating Skeram, the Prophet, there is a coffin that players can interact with. This coffin will apply a debuff on the entire raid, adding new mechanics for the remainder of the raid instance. The Development Notes explain that taking on the greater challenge will increase rewards from bosses.

The Coffin Options for Raid Difficulty

You may pick one of the following difficulties depending on your reputation at the coffin, which will apply a certain debuff to the raid… Any raider may interact with the coffin, and the options offered are determined on the player’s reputation.

Each level of difficulty scales boss damage and health by a modest amount. During boss confrontations, depending on the difficulty setting, the following consequences may occur:

These effects will make boss fights much more tough, adding a new degree of complexity to the battle. While this system is a brilliant solution to the loot difficulties experienced in Season of Mastery, it does not bring enough intriguing boss encounters in Ahn’Qiraj, based on the few raids that have beaten many monsters (Tmugsy from Jom Gobbar). Hopefully, like the ones in Blackwing Lair, the other bosses in the instance will be overhauled.

C’Thun

On the Public Test Realm, C’Thun is not accessible for testing.

Datamining in Naxxramas

Some really fascinating spells and items have been uncovered in the data in the same Patch on the PTR (1.14.3.42770). World boost effects, Deathstones, a new Trinket, Skeletal Artifacts, more… Below is a list of all of the datamined spells and artifacts —

Deathstones of Naxxramas

One of the first changes you’ll notice is the addition of Deathstones, a brand-new consumable. It’s evident from these uncategorized Spells Deathstone Powers that they are attainable thanks to Archmage Tarsis Kir-impact. Moldir’s It’s still unclear what the Deathstones are used for or why they’re gathered.

The Night Elf at the entrance to Naxxramas is Archmage Tarsis Kir-Moldir. He is a Highborne who has lived for over 10,000 years and even remembers Queen Azshara, according to the history surrounding this figure. The Archmage is also well-versed in the Atiesh, the Guardian’s Greatstaff.

Trinket of Naxxramas

The Failsafe Phylactery is a brand-new item that you may equip to your character. While wearing this item and within Naxxramas, all damage that would otherwise kill your character is mitigated, and your character gains 3 seconds of damage immunity. Failsafe Phylactory is the linked spell with this effect, and it indicates the 3 second immunity boost. The trinket is destroyed when this effect is triggered.

It’s a total mystery how this item came to be.

Skeletal Artifacts & Buffs

Skeletal Artifact is a consumable artifact that allows the player to absorb souls from defeated foes, providing a one-hour bonus to the player. Movement speed, decreased damage received, mana regeneration, attack power, and a bonus to all stats are among the benefits. These look suspiciously like famous global buffs… I still have no clue how this thing works or where I can get it.

Other Things to Consider

The Invincible

There is also a new Achievement dubbed “” in the same release on the PTR. It’s unclear if this provides a title, is just a secret accomplishment, or is a benefit included inside the Soul of Iron boost. In any case, beating the 25-man Naxxramas in Wrath of the Lich King without a single player dying throughout the run earned the Immortal title. Is it possible that something similar will appear in Season of Mastery 40-man Naxxramas?
