Shuffling: Motes & Primals – Grahran’s WoW Gold

Last updated November 9, 2021 | Follow us on Pinterest

In World of Warcraft, players get gold from doing things such as killing mobs and completing quests. However, there are other ways to get more gold in the game that doesn’t involve actually playing it. This is done through something called “shuffling.” Motes and primals are two different methods for getting a lot of in-game money by using real world money or trading items on third party websites without ever having to play WoW itself.

The Fate of Shuffling came to a head with the release of Motes and Primals. WoW’s latest expansion, designed for players seeking new content, provided some major crafting changes but left many frustrated by their inability to get more than one item from each card pack. Players were ultimately given the choice between rolling cards themselves or spending money on Card Casters (CC) who would render fate in exchange for gold.Shuffling is a new feature that was introduced in World of Warcraft. The feature allows players to shuffle cards from their deck into the discard pile. Read more in detail here: how to shuffle.

Primals & Shuffling Motes:

Shuffling Motes & Primals isn’t a new concept, but it serves as a reminder of a market where you may make passive money in addition to your main Auction House activities. The advantage is that you can find out how much your Primals are worth on your realm (using TheUndermineJournal) and buy inexpensive Motes that can be merged into Primals to make a profit.

Although this tutorial is for the retail version of World of Warcraft, this approach may also be used in Classic TBC.

What Is the Difference Between Motes and Primals?

The Burning Crusade (TBC) expansion added the elemental crafting ingredient motes and primals to World of Warcraft. Because of the costly Transmog and resources that might be produced, these materials were necessary for many professions.

There are seven distinct Motes, and you may make a Primal by combining 10 of any one of them. Each Mote’s Primal has been added to the list below.

Many of these Transmog crafts are now viable for leveling characters thanks to the introduction of Relics in Shadowlands. Because you could improve your piece of armor as you leveled, the Relic made created Transmog an excellent piece of gear.

Creating Primals from Motes

It takes ten Motes to make one Primal. By dividing the price of a Primal by ten, we can calculate that if we buy a Mote for less than this amount, we will earn a profit! Buying Motes equal to or higher than this amount has no value since we will lose gold in the long run due to deposit costs.

Examples:

TheUndermineJournal has the Regional Median Price (RMP) for the E.U. region. To demonstrate a lucrative and non-profitable shuffle, I’ll use two instances.

Mote of Shadow and Primal Shadow are both profitable.
Mote of Air and Primal Air are non-profit organizations.

The End Result:

The given data suggests that converting Mote of Air to Primal Air isn’t lucrative. We know the utmost amount we should pay for our Mote of Air by dividing the Primal Air by 10. The Mote costs 158g, which is excessive — we’d be wasting gold if we did this shuffle!

In other words, dividing a Primal Shadow into 10 equals 17g each Mote of Shadow. Because a Mote of Shadow costs 12g, we’ll make a profit of 5g, or 50g per Primal. Although 50g may not seem like a lot of money, it adds up fast depending on how many Primals you sell. Based on the aforementioned values, selling a stack (200) of Primal Shadow would net you a profit of 10,000g.

Reminder:

You must always utilize data for your realm while utilizing TheUndermineJournal to determine possible profit. I use Regional Market Prices (RMP), an average pricing throughout the area, whenever I utilize TheUndermineJournal to submit samples since this is an average price.

You will obtain accurate data for your realm if you use your realm’s data, which will result in superior results. TheUndermineJournal is a fantastic resource for gold prospectors, but only when utilized properly!

Selling Primals and Motes isn’t the only option:

If Transmog and selling Motes and Primals aren’t your thing, check to see if your Alchemist is a Transmute Master. If you don’t already have an Alchemist, consider making one a Transmute Master, since Primals are required for certain crafts, and you’ll receive a 20% chance to proc an additional craft.

Primal Power:

Primal Might is the greatest crafting resource. This substance is also required for Transmog creation. To make this, you’ll need one of each of these Primals.

Primal Might’s E.U. Region Median Price (RMP) is 4,142g. If we can buy our Motes for less than the Primals, our profit margins will be higher. However, as an Alchemist with Transmute Master, we have a 20% chance of crafting an extra Primal Might, which will significantly increase the profit margin!

Because the crafting cost will be slightly lower, adjust your minimum price to match the 20% proc chance. Non-Alchemists will not be able to publish as low as we can, which means they will be unable to compete.

TSM’s Shopping Scan:

Open the Auction House, select the Browse tab, and type this string into the search box if you want a simple shopping string.

Mote of Air/exact;Primal Air/exact;Mote of Water/exact;Primal Water/exact;Mote of Shadow/exact;Primal Shadow/exact;Mote of Mana/exact;Primal Mana/exact;Mote of Life/exact;Primal Life/exact;Mote of Earth/exact;Primal Earth/exact

This string will search the Auction House for any Motes and Primals that are currently available.

Obtaining Low-Cost Motes Through a Vendor:

A limited number of Motes are available from two suppliers. There is a brief period of time after they have been purchased before they become available again. It’s said that the cooldown will last 30 minutes.

Dealer Najeeb, in Netherstorm at coordinates [44.36], is the vendor to visit. Alternatively, go to [39.70] in Terrokar Forest to find Dealer Tariq.

I use the toy Katy Stampwhistle to leave a bank toon at any of these merchants. If you’re an Engineer, you may also utilize your mailbox (Moll-e) to send these motes to your Auction House toon or crafter.
