Wowhead Economy Weekly Wrap-Up 198 – Professions Prep in the Patch Lull

Last updated November 13, 2021 | Follow us on Pinterest

There is no better time than now to start thinking about what professions you might want to take up in the patch. With all the changes that are occurring, it’s never too early to prepare for your future profession choices.

Weekly Economic Update in World of Warcraft Hello! The 198th episode of the WoW Economy Weekly Wrap-up is here!

My name is Samadan, and I’m a content producer that specializes in utilizing Professions and TSM to make money. On YouTube, I have a lot of tutorials, and I also broadcast my travels on Twitch.

What to Do When a Patch Comes to an End?

So now that we’ve reached a pause in the game, many people have taken a vacation and turned their attention to other exciting new endeavors. After all, this is a game, and we’ve come to be amused. The allure of World of Warcraft remains strong for many of us, and there is still much to do in the game even at this point of the patch. This is particularly true for goldsmiths, since there is never a dull moment.

Where should you go when the patch grows deeper, says u/OliT95?

Two, for the last month or so, I’ve been exchanging consumables for end-game stuff in the consumables section. Where should I move next, given that prices are falling and I expect demand to fall as the patch continues?

I’ve been manufacturing mats and then flipping them. I’ve gone from around 100k to about 2.5 million after everything is liquidated. What are people’s suggestions for making money as the patch deepens? I haven’t had much experience as a goblin, and I’ve just recently begun doing this.

It’s posturing time now that material prices are decreasing and keeping up with sales is becoming simpler. What professions do you like to see in the upcoming patch? Do you need a new character? Is there anything you’re lacking that’s difficult to find? Is there anything you wish to do that isn’t goblin-related? You won’t have time for this after the patch is out, so now is a good time to get started.

u/RookJackson has some excellent suggestions here, which we can build on to include things to do right now as the price of normal goods continues to fall.

Professions with a lot of depth

Now would be an excellent moment to include vocations from previous world material. Many crafted items are still available for purchase by other players. It may be leveling enchants or difficult-to-find created transmog that serves as the centerpiece of an outfit. Now that each expansion’s professions may be leveled independently, many players will have passed through the previous content in order to concentrate only on the most recent expansion. Here, diversity is crucial. The more auction house diversity you have, the more markets you can conquer.

The basics of leveling and filling up previous content expansions are just the beginning; there’s also the issue of collecting recipes and patterns all across Azeroth, as well as running old dungeons in the hopes of getting them to drop. The Addon All the Things is located here, and you can be certain that there will always be something to do in the game!

Make Provisions for Future Content

Keeping a careful watch on the PTR and what’s going on here on Wowhead is excellent preparation for investigating what’s coming up in the next patch and where new chances may exist. We already know that material drops will be improved, and that this will likely result in lower pricing for these items, and therefore Legendaries. Legendaries will be scrappable as well, allowing players to try out new combos. Is it worthwhile to investigate such markets right now? Perhaps you might spend some of your extra millions in putting yourself up for a few sales?

The next patch, 9.1.5, seems to be the alts patch. With so many players leveling up their characters, there may be a market for created goods that assist them in leveling or at certain levels, such as fresh level 50s and ilvl 87 gear, and fresh level 60s and ilvl 200 gear, utilizing Novice Crafter’s Marks and Crafter’s Mark III.

Characters are multiplied

Various characters imply multiple vocations and a greater number of market possibilities. While some people may wish to create a new character simply to try out a different class, we may use several characters to cover all vocations in the gold producing community. It’s not an easy task in and of itself, but it’s possible.

There’s also the issue of Mission Tables and Callings, which we’ve previously discussed extensively; they things generate a decent amount of money just by playing the game, and when multiplied over several characters, they can rapidly add up.

Do What Makes You Happy!

Of all, it should go without saying that now is the best time to have a good time. If you wish, take a break, play in a different way, try new things, and seek out difficulties. Anything that piques your curiosity.

LFR Gold Runs in Legion

u/iceberg265 decided to try out every Legion LFR now that they are very simple to complete and see how much gold they can get…

With today’s video, I thought I’d try something different; let me know whether you think this format is useful or if you think I should abandon it.

The video may be found here:

The findings from each individual wing may be seen in the movie, but it took a total of 90 minutes and yielded a total of 3,308.7 gold.

This provides an estimated gold per hour figure of 2,205.8 gold per hour for comparison. This can only be done once a week.

Even though I did discover a BoE drop that is allegedly worth 36k gold, I would not suggest this as a regular source of revenue, but if anybody needs the accomplishments or just wants to run it for fun, go for it!

While the gold quantity is rather modest in this case, it is useful for obtaining certain higher levels of professions, recipes, and transmog for oneself as well as for selling to other players.

I believe it took me almost half a year to sell a couple of those overpriced legion drops. These aren’t quick sellers. I still do this on a regular basis to pick up a few xmogs and Chaos Crystals (probably not the most effective method to do it if I didn’t need the xmog).

If you’re looking for pure gold, Komlit offers a fantastic video that walks you through the current best practices.

A List of Group Farms

The usage of group farms is another way to make gold. Due to the restrictions of multiboxing, these have been rarely documented, but that doesn’t stop a group of pals from coming together and farming a certain region. Here’s a nice breakdown from The Game Part on a few group farms to check out…
